Hayley Nolan is a British Playwright, Columnist and Screenwriter now based in Los Angeles.
She wrote and starred in West End’s Credit Crunch: The Musical, which had its
London Premier at the New Players Theatre. Hayley also created the comedy character of
Sue Sylvester’s Daughter, inspired by Jane Lynch’s character in the hit TV show
Glee! Hayley wrote and starred in the YouTube comedy sketch, which Jane Lynch herself called “Outrageously good!”
Hayley started out as a Young Writer at London’s prestigious Royal Court Theatre and went on to train in scriptwriting at the
Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) with Paul Sirett - former dramaturg of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC.) In 2011 Hayley was commissioned by
Kevin Spacey’s Old Vic Tunnels to write “Locked In”, a play about manic depression – but in these times of Arts Council cuts, the project sadly lost its funding at the last minute and fell through.
As a Travel Writer, Hayley is a regular contributor to NBC Universal’s ivillage where she has travelled the globe writing and reporting from some of the world’s most glamorous locations. Hayley is also a Columnist for
She Radiance by Ayushveda.com which receives over 1.4 million hits a month and had a Christmas Column for internet giants
Glam.co.uk, for whom she also writes travel features.
Hayley is currently working on a series of Children’s books, plus a selection of original dramatic and comedy screenplays for both TV and Film.
